Happy 2 o o 9!
...we basically had no plans for New Years Eve, but of course I wanted to do something awesome. After I got home from work I brainstormed with the husby.
My idea: get dressed up and go to a cocktail party at Spark
His idea: "first night" in Provo, then watch the ball drop on tv and have a nice night together at home
We hadn't decided what we were going to do, but I love getting dressed up so I just went right ahead and got ready to go out. With a wink and smile I got him to get excited to go out and get dressed up too.
Then he brought up a good point. We wouldn't really have fun at a big party if we didn't bring anyone with us.... don't get me wrong, we have too much fun with just the two of us, but it could get old after 3 hrs of loud music and not knowing anyone around us. We tried to see if anyone wanted to go out with us, but alas no one seems to share my love of getting dressed up and going out on the town, especially when they have family close (except my sister, who i know was sad she couldn't go).
so we changed...
We finally decided to go out to eat with Danee and Howard and then we could come home and have our nice quiet evening with just the two of us, thus accomplishing both our wants. PF Chang's was delicious and the company was quite delightful too! Thanks for coming out with us guys!
This was my fortune for the new year:
not sure if that will be bad or good.
I was totally unprepared for a fun night at home (sorry B) so we didn't have real confetti or noise makers. I found our birthday bag and saw that we had a million balloons so naturally we used deflated balloons as confetti and some jingle bells and pots and pans as noise makers :)
We had tons of fun going crazy. See for yourself:
And everyone knows the new year doesn't
actually begin until you have a toast
To a wonderful year filled with new adventures, new challenges, new opportunities, new friends, and of course lots more of family, old friends, and fun :)
