I found this book on amazon and I want it so that I can make all 25 softie pals for my baby. He or she will need some friends when he/she comes home.
I also think these sock dolls could fit in nicely, and maybe substitute socks for cute fabrics here and there:

Totally cute! I love homemade toys, I wish I had the time and patience and skills to make some myself. I once found these adorable little baby toys at Baby Gap that looked like fruits and veggies...they easily could have been handmade by someone. BG was selling them for $7 each! It's times like that when I wish I had a sewing machine and some time on my hands! Oh yea and like I said, the skills! :)
