I want that

I found this book on amazon and I want it so that I can make all 25 softie pals for my baby. He or she will need some friends when he/she comes home.

I also think these sock dolls could fit in nicely, and maybe substitute socks for cute fabrics here and there:

Sorry for the millions of posts a day, but I've been trying to catch up while not getting behind, so that means 2 posts a day. And on days like today 3.

A perfect day

This sweet flower was hand delivered to me at work yesterday, by my husband. And now I have something bright and fun to look at while at work.

We went to the temple that night, and I wished I could just stay inside and walk and wonder around all night while thinking quietly to myself.

It was one of my favorite days ever.

::babysitting::

We babysat these little guys on Saturday!
They ate all their dinner, and Colson even ate 4 strawberries (because he thinks 4 is the best number).
We played Simon says, acted like elephants and monkeys, saw how many times Colson and Griff could run around the couch, and played hide and seek.
Oh and we made macaroni necklaces.... These are not the best necklaces, but macaroni was all we had at home to bring. Next time I hope we can do fruit loops or something easier for them to thread, but they were very focused on threading these teeny noodles (with dental floss) and I was impressed that they were able to do it with minimal help from us!
They both hid under the pillows and pretended to be the 'big bad wolf' blowing the 'pillow house' down. I'll have to get one of the videos i have up, because Griff started eating his raw macaroni noodles and wasn't interested in anything else for awhile! I couldn't believe he actually liked the taste of raw noodles!
They are such good boys and even went to bed when it was time! We had a fun night together!

::going green::

I've been wanting to get some reusable grocery bags for a while now, and I feel guilty every time I go to the store and have to say 'plastic'. We finally found these bags for .99 cents to $1.50 each! And now I won't have to feel so guilty :) And me and the world can be friends again!

Here are more belly shots. I think I am going to have to take the advice given to me by my friend Megan, to take pics in the same outfit everytime because there are definately outfits that make me look smaller or cover the bump completely.

Sorry I look really tired in this pic. 18 weeks:
A little closer

And this was yesterday, 19 weeks:

I see a big difference between 17 (the pic in the post below) and 19 weeks. See, I am getting bigger!

and so it begins...

This was taken at 17 weeks....

I'm currently 19 weeks, and bigger, but we just took pics this morning so I'll have to load them to the computer before I can post them.

I'm sure you're not really excited to see how fat I'm getting, but I thought I need to start putting some pics up or else next time you see me you might not recognize me!

::certified::

It took 8 hours of my precious Saturday, but I am proud to say that I am now certified to give CPR and use an AED (automated external defibrillator)!

Rewind...

to the end of March.

Brady's parents and sister came to town to visit and for Avery's blessing. We were spoiled while they were here!

After we told them that they would have another grandbaby in September, we had Ry, Steph and Avery and Danee and Howard over.

While Ry and Steph went to get the finishing touches for Avery's blessing gown, the girls ran some errands, and of course had to stop and try the scrumptious little French Bakery on Columbia and State!

We wanted to enjoy the nice weather so we had a dinner at the park and then tossed the football and frisbee!

It was a gorgeous day!

On Sunday we enjoyed Avery's blessing and had delicious soup and salad afterward at Steph's parents house!

We enjoyed playing games and making fun memories while they were out!

2 weeks and 2 days...

...til we find out the gender of our baby!

And its spring again!

And I think I've been feeling the baby move, but I'm not positive. I thought so because I felt it consistently for a few days, but then I didn't feel it yesterday. And now I've freaked myself out with worry, but I don't even know if I should be worried because I don't really know if I actually felt it.

Oh dear, I fear I am going to be one worried, paranoid, over-protective momma!

What did the first movement of your baby feel like to you?

Our Song

If I could write out my own dream
For the next time that I sleep
You'd be the first one that I see
And I the last one that you keep

The dream would go on and on

While we sway

Against all things thrown our way

And the morning would be so cruel
When it came
With sunshine and warmth to blame
For announcing the end of my sweet dream
For announcing the end of my sweet dream

This one's for my oldest sister...

... because I think its always nice to be reminded that you are one of the BEST sisters I have! I found this old pic on my computer and it epitomizes how I still think of you- always in awe of how beautiful, fun, and just all around 'cool' you are.

Align Center(Carrie, Kjirsten, me)
I remember that I felt so special that I got to be in a picture with you when you were all dressed up. And now I just feel special that I get to be your sister and learn from your good example. I love you and can't wait to see you and your family in May!

Walkin in a winter wonderland....

...wait, its Spring!

This Tree today....

Looked like this yesterday! (This is really the same tree!!:'( ...)

just another typical day...

I have some catching up to do... and I keep wanting to be able to sit down and take the time to do one long 'catch up' post, but that doesn't seem like it will happen.

So instead here is a random compilation of things that have been going on:

We had yet another flat tire...

I bet you can guess what caused it. If you said a screw, you were right

My friend Marli from work, is moving away. On her last day this is what some of the pranksters did to her car:

This weekend we did some serious spring cleaning. Here are six bags of clothes that we got rid off (5 bags were my clothes and 1 was Brady's). By the end I added two more bags to that pile. (and we got rid of a ton of other stuff too)

And last week we got to go to the doctor and hear the baby's heartbeat again! And it seems like spring is trying to come back because flowers were blossoming just outside the office, but I know its just a joke on me. Winter will be back this week.

And I still need to add pics from when Brady's family was here, and from when my mom was here, and from Easter. Soon.

Our first big baby purchase...

It is pretty early for us to be buying baby stuff, but I found an AMAZING deal for a stroller and carseat!

We got the Maxi Cosi Foray stroller and the Mico carseart to complete the infant travel system. I LOVE it and it doesn't even have a baby in it yet :)

We got the whole thing for about 1/5 of the retail price... seriously. For anyone looking for anything, I definitely recommend looking on craigslist. Sometimes you can find STEALS!

::Poor me::

This is my poor me post because I have a cold and I'm miserable. Does anyone have any home remedy secrets: something safe to take that will knock out a headache or a good decongestant?

And feel like I haven't gotten a wink of sleep (probably due to the sickness more than the pregnancy). Any secrets to knock me out at night?

According to my doctor I can just take an excedrine and drink a coke, but I've never been a big medicine or caffeine person, and I certainly don't want to start while I'm pregnant!

Im an April Fool!

So, what would you think if you woke up this morning to find a big black thing in your toothpaste? Well, thats what I found when my sweet little wife reminded me (as she often does) to brush my teeth before I headed off for class...let me show you a picture to give you an idea of what it was like:

I wish I could have seen my face during those seconds of confusion and disgust after seeing the black blob...My first thought was, how does toothpaste rot?? Then I thought it was a big bug....gross! But the confusion and disgust soon tuned to laughing after hearing the giggles coming from my pregnant wife who I thought would be gagging at the sight!
Thats when it hit me...April Fools! Tare had put a blueberry (thats right, a WHOLE BLUEBERRY!) in the toothpaste tube! It was hilarious and I was proud of my girl for pulling of the prank without laughing (until just after of course).
I should have known...last April 1st, I got into bed after a long day of school and reached for my book to get settled down for the night. As I turned to the pages to begin reading, a big white cloud jumped out of the book, right into my lap! Tare had filled my book with a nice little flour bomb! it was hilarious and I dont think we stopped laughing the whole night:)

SO BEWARE! It doesnt matter how sweet or innocent someone looks, all bets are off today! Happy April Fooling to everyone today (and be careful when brushing your teeth!)
