Well yes, we are moving. Surprise! And we have to be out of our apartment by Saturday (which is tomorrow) and we found out we were moving on Thurs. (which was yesterday). And I still haven't caught up on my sleep from when we drove home from Oregon, nor have I posted our pictures from the trip. Let me give you a time line of what my life has been like this week and preface it by saying I hate it when people do this because obviously no one cares or wants to hear about every second of my life, but this is my blog and I'll do what I want, haha. And I won't be offended if you don't read it :)
Monday:
5:00pm- say our goodbyes; drive home from Oregon
11:00pm- halfway home; I begin thinking about my phone and the fact that I haven't seen it since the drive up to Oregon.
Tuesday:
5:00am- Back to our apt; I am half dead and go straight from the car into bed, without helping to bring any bags up from the car.
7:00am- I turn my alarm off
7:30am- I wake up
8am-5pm- I have a very long and tired day at work.
7:30pm- International Tuesday! Peru night :) Sooo yummy!
Wednesday:
8am-5pm - Work. Still extremely tired and have not unpacked or cleaned the apt since we got home.
5:30pm- Brady wants to take me to see some apartments. After 2 months of searching we find the greatest apartment out there. We decide to just do it because we know that apt will get snagged quickly. Now we just have to sell our contract.
9:30pm- Brady puts our apartment online on Craigslist.
9:32pm- We get a call about the apt. and the guy wants to come see it right this second. Ummm, remember how I said we hadn’t cleaned since we got home, so we told him to come tomorrow. I start cleaning immediately.
9:35pm- We get another call from someone wanting to come see it.
9:35pm (in the middle of the other call)- Another call for the apt.
9:40pm- The last call of the night for the apt. We stay up late to clean. Guess we won’t have trouble selling our contract
Thursday:
7:00am- More calls about the apartment (4 to be exact-why would anyone call someone that early???)
8:00am- work
10:40am- I call Brady from my work phone since I don’t have mine to see how the apt showing is going. He’s had people there since 9am and its been one right after the other and he hasn’t had a break because while showing the apt. more people have been calling. He has to get off the phone now, someone is calling. He says he’ll call back after he talks with them.
12:45pm- He still hasn’t called back. I call him, no answer, he calls back with the same description as above- people have been looking and there’s been non stop phone calls. But this time he says HE SOLD IT! I can’t believe we sold our apt. in A day. I also realize we don’t technically have a place to move yet since we haven’t signed the contract for the other apt.
1:30pm- I call Brady again to see if he’s called to claim the apt and sign the contract. He doesn’t answer so I have no idea whether or not we have a place to move to.
5:00pm- I get home, Steph picks me up to go to where Brady is since I have no idea and I have no phone to communicate with the outside world. He’s helping them move. We go to pay a deposit on our new apt., sign contracts, go check out R & S's new apt, and move some boxes in.
7:00pm- He drops me off at our apt to start boxing things up, while he has to leave to help ryan and steph move. I get a good start and think “If we can move these boxes over tonight we will be in great shape to get out by Sat."
10:00pm- Brady finally comes home exhausted from his non stop day and manual labor night. There is no way we are moving the stuff over tonight. I have a head ache and I’m exhausted as well. I am a little nervous because now we only have two days to get out, and not much help since Ry and Steph are busy with their own move.
Time will tell how this story turns out….
