We were happy to help her celebrate the 24th and get her out of the house to party :) We packed the day full with activities:
First we woke up and went to the Richfield Parade in Monroe
After wards we had the traditional "Hansen coke break". I'm sad I didn't get a picture of this since it is such treasured pastime, but I did get a picture of Grandma's famous Coke Koozie, which reveals an awful lot about her fun personality and sense of humor!
Grandma needed a nap after all this excitement so Brade took the opportunity to cut down some of the tree branches over her garage that were bothering her.
I have to mention that I loved seeing her house just the same as it probably was 50 yrs ago! I couldn't help but notice that several things in the house were "fixed". If anything broke, they would find a way to fix it "good as new" rather than spending money to buy a new one. The late Grandpa Hansen was hard working and a true handy man. We took A LOT of pics of special things in the house and outside the house for Brady, plus a whole slew of other things that caught our eye :)
We recently learned that Brady's dad left the 4 wheelers with Grandma when they moved from Utah to Oregon, and sure enough when we got there they were calling our name! Brady's cousins Tyson, Marlee, and Micah came over and took us on a ride!
We took Grandma out to eat, then Micah, Ty, and Uncle Jack took us golfing! I wouldn't be a good wife if I didn't mention that my husband made a 310 yd. drive!
We finished just in time to pick Grandma up and drive back over to Monroe for the fireworks! But I left my camera in the car. Oh well! We had TONS of fun and were worn out by the end of the day! We sure love our Grandma Hansen!

That sounds like a busy day (or 2). Some of those pics remind me of Evanston and the first time I met Eric's Grandma.
