In an effort to keep my goals for the new year...

...I ran 5 miles today! and this is what I saw when I took off my shoe (yes, i took it off before i left the gym. It felt a little sticky in there and i was curious):

I know a lot my friends who read this are runners and probably run farther than that on a daily basis, but it was HARD for me. So get over it :) j/k

ps I also am aware that my socks are too big. I think this may have had something to do with the giant blister on my other foot.

Poor Taryn! I ran the other day too (I'm not gonna tell you how far) and I'm so stinking sore. Its my first REAL exercise since I got pregnant with Addie. How embarrassing!! If you keep running, I'll keep running. See ya in April!!

Teeny-Beeny! . . . oweeeee! I'm so sorry! That stinks! I hope you heal quickly so that you can continue your good efforts. It never seems to fail, as soon as I start excercising (after it's been awhile) I get sick. I think it's a test to see how serious I am. I get to start over a few times, just to make sure it's what I really want to do. :)

p.s. I loved your post about us, our world, and your D.R. pictures. It's so awesome that you had that experience. Thank you for the perspective on our lives . . . expecially at the start of a new year when we're all kind of "taking inventory" on ourselves.

OUCH Tare!!!! My feet hurt just looking at that picture! I hope you heal quickly and that you're able to get back into your groove.

(if it makes you feel any better- 5 miles in one day!! I'm impressed-:)

Well, some of you friends (atleat one) aren't runners and 5 miles is very impressive. So good job. I love that you had your camera readily available at the gym.

Oh don't worry, the pic was actually taken with Brady's phone. Takes pretty good pics though!

Tare I am a runner...I guess.. and I am totally way impressed 5 miles!!!! I hope you didn't go run 5 miles cold turkey because that is extremely impressive if you did...it is already impressive though THAT YOU RUN 5 MILES.
I am so very proud of you...I have never bled like that before,so you are new my new offical hero for sticking it out through the pain.
