...til we find out the gender of our baby!
And its spring again!
And I think I've been feeling the baby move, but I'm not positive. I thought so because I felt it consistently for a few days, but then I didn't feel it yesterday. And now I've freaked myself out with worry, but I don't even know if I should be worried because I don't really know if I actually felt it.
Oh dear, I fear I am going to be one worried, paranoid, over-protective momma!
What did the first movement of your baby feel like to you?

maybe it was just gas. hahahahha. just kidding. I have no answer for your question though. :) but I am super excited for you guys!
Hard to remember. I do always remember people telling me it felt like a "flutter" I think I remember feeling like it was almost like muscle twitches/spasms feel like in your leg or something..but in your tummmy. Does that help?? haha Pretty soon you'll know what it feels like without question :)
Amy! That is exactly how I described it to Brady! I thought it felt like muscle spasms in my lower abdomen. Its like 'woah, something is moving but i'm not moving it'.
I know its not gas, lol! This feels different to me :)
That's exciting! I was gonna ask if you felt the baby move yet. Some people don't feel it til later. The way I knew I felt my baby the first time was that it didn't feel quite like anything else I had ever felt. That's a pretty lame description, but its true. Its even more fun when the movements are stronger and there's no question that you felt the baby. I know what you mean about worrying. I worried between every doctor's visit.
ps We're excited to find out what baby Hansen is! I voted girl, by the way.
Geez, I didn't know I was signed in like that. This (and that above) is me...Sarah.
ha ha, it feels like gas to me :)
or like butterflies in my stomach. It won't be long till your feeling him/her all the time and you'll know it for sure- it's my favorite part of being pregnant. I'm so excited that we'll know what you're having before you guys get to TX! Can't wait to see you guys :)
yeah, it felt like a flutter to me too. some people say it feels like popcorn popping. the best, though, is when you're really far along and your whole stomach moves. that's fun. i could sit there for hours watching it. it's way cool. i say it all the time but i think you're having a girl, too. : )
I agree, kind of a flutter. It's kind of hard to remember because once 'it' gets bigger then you DEFINITLY know somethings moving, because you can see. Jack kicked the crap out of me. Like literally my sternum is not jutting out more than it used to. Hold up! I just pulled out my pregnancy journal and it says on Feb 2nd Day 101, week 17, "I think I may be feeling it move! Kind of a fluttering with a little pain. May just be my body adjusting, but maybe not!!" I got The Pregnancy Journal as a gift and loved it.
to me the very first movements didn't come until I was about 22 weeks along! BUT I heard that was because I was up moving around all the time, not sitting too much to really notice or be able to feel. after I got done teaching and was sitting around all the time it felt like little tiny taps near my belly button, sporadically. it was so amazing!!! if you are feeling something already, lucky you! I heard you may be able to feel from like 16-19 weeks or something...
I can't remember much but I can remember this: in the beginning it is just a fluttery feeling. Very light. I remember starting to feel that flutter around 15 or 16 weeks.
I remember being so worried when I didn't feel the baby move for several hours on end or sometimes it seemed like a day had gone by without movement. Try to stay calm (yea right!) and remind yourself that the baby is moving but with all your busy-ness and going from here to there that you just aren't focused on it.
And then there will come a point where you will feel that little baby ALL THE TIME, because it is getting so big that he/she needs to come out! Hahaha :)
PS-You will soon know that I am talking about when I say 'I can't remember much'. Hahaha...motherhood takes the memory right out of you!
Well I didn't read all of the others' comments before hand so I basically repeated what they said. Sorry! :) Oh yea and the kicking is the best part of being pregnant, like Carrie said, when your whole stomach moves...it's AWESOME!!!
I have to agree with all these ladies, pretty much feels like a little flutter, and leaves you wondering if it was just gas. Especially if you don't feel it again for a while. That's totally normal! That little girl (cause I think it's a girl!) is still so tiny, you can only feel her when she is in certain positions. I started feeling Clarkie around where you are, like 17 and a half weeks. And just like everyone said, soon enough you won't have any doubts, and your belly will be doing somersaults! Clarkie kept me up a lot of nights with all his action.
I'm glad you're doing well and spring has returned to Utah. It's been 85-90 and fabulous here since we moved! ;) Can't wait to hear the news babe!
Love, Erin
Thanks everyone! It was fun to read how everyone else felt the first movement. I'm glad now I'm in the club too! It is so fun and amazing to feel those little 'flutters' and think about the little bean moving around in there :)
WOW . . . Looks like you got lots of great feedback! Sorry I'm so slow to comment, I meant to, but it seems I've often got somebody in my arms when I'm reading -- so commenting doesn't always happen! I'm SO excited that you are feeling the "flutters"!! Doesn't it help you feel like there is TRULY a little one growing in there? I miss that. I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited for May!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND yes, let's go fishing!! Tell Brady, the boat's just waiting for him! Even if THAT doesn't work out, we are just SO excited to see you guys!!!!!!!!! LOVE YOU!
