This weekend we got to go to a 40's soiree in honor of Brad's birthday. It was so much fun to dress up and enjoy the 40's atmosphere, which the Willits' did an excellent job of recreating. Along with the wartime stories and fake accents that were being thrown around in good fun, we had a delicious dinner, listened to big band music, played a little poker, and had some fun with the coke and root beer bottles and the fake cigarettes and cigars :)

let's think of an excuse to have another one. :) i sorta wish it really was the '40s. i wanted to cry when i was cleaning up the decorations and taking my hair down. i'm really sad it's over.
VERY cute and so much fun! The funny thing about you holding a cig and being preggo is that there are many photos of my grandma actually smoking and being pregnant! There was nothing wrong with it - or so they thought - back then! My grandma just wants to die now every time she sees a photo of herslef 8 months pregnant smoking away in a pub!

Taryn, your hair was awesome! If I didn't know any better I wouldn't know you all were really in 2009! That looked like a really fun party, you girls are all so creative. :)
