Awhile ago, I was feeling a little stir crazy and needed to get out of the house. When Brady got home I told him we needed to take the girls to the park. When we were leaving my mom informed us that it was REALLY hot outside. I didn't care I just needed to get out.
We got to the park and there was only one other family there. First clue that it was too hot to be out.
Liv loved it. It made me feel sorry for her because I hadn't been able to give her much attention and I hadn't been doing anything particularly fun with her.
She kept saying, "this is fun mama!".
Scarlett fell right to sleep, I think because it was so hot it felt like and incubator.
It was 6:30 pm and we were in the shade the whole time, but B and I were pretty much ready to go after about 2 minutes. When Scarlett started sweating and her face started getting rosy I said we had to leave. I was worried about her because I know babies don't have as many sweat glands so they can't cool themselves off as easily as adults (and even the adults were too hot).
I was glad that Liv had fun, but we probably won't be taking Scarlett outside until it cools down a bit.
We came home to a delicious dinner of grilled chicken and veggies made by Grammy and Aunt Linda, and then helped Grampy make home made root beer. We all had some root beer floats!
I think Olivia enjoyed playing with the dried ice smoke more than the root beer float ;)
Liv loved getting to meet Mimi Linda (my Aunt). She (liv) was nervous at first but warmed up to Linda and LOVED playing with her.

I was dying in the Utah heat but quickly stopped complaining when my cousin Suzie (who lives in San Antonio) told me it was hotter in Texas!! I don't know how you do it. I also didn't know that fact about baby sweat glands. I guess it makes sense but good to know!!
Oh my goodness, Wynnie actually got a sunburn a few weeks ago when we were in idaho! She was in the shade the entire time too. I didn't know you could get sunburn in the shade?? I felt awful! I
