A conversation between poor married students...

...and the difference between men and women {men think in dollar signs, women think in sentimentality}

As I was looking at some of the most adorable/to die for/one of a kind designer dresses for Olivia, I turned the computer around to show B. He shrugged his sholder, meaning that he thought it was okay. I talked it up and he finally agreed that it would be cute on our girl. Then I told him the price fully knowing before even showing him the dresses that we would never buy it.

He replies, "For a baby's dress? Well all the rich dumb idiots will buy all of those up, thinking they have to have a one of a kind something for their little kids."
I replied, "Well when we have money I want to buy one."
He matter of factly says, "Oh I know. One day we'll be the rich dumb idiots and you can buy all the stupid one of a kind things you think we need."

Love that guy.

Funny thing is, there is always something more important - like food, shoes, college for the kids etc. to spend your "tons" of money on!! It's really hard to ever get that rich when you have a family! But maybe that's what keeps us from getting into too much "dumb" spending (though I do like a special dress now and then for such a sweet special girl-key word- SALE)!

So true and I agree mom! There will probably never be a day when we can buy ALL the silly things we want, I just thought it was funny that he said we would be 'rich dumb idiots'. Sounds like such harsh words, but obviously he didn't mean it in a rude way since he hopes we will have enough money one day to not have count our pennies, and be able to splurge every once in awhile ;)

Hi Brady and Taryn. Funny story, sounds like mine and bethany's conversations. One day, One day.
Take care.

When that day comes you will surely deserve to make some "rich dumb idiot" purchases! I totally agree with your mom too. This was funny. You guys are cute.
