We did not mail out Christmas cards this year. Between working, chasing after a 2 year old, the move,
still getting settled, and growing a brand new baby, we have ALL been busy and extra tired!
So this year we will settle for a Hansen Family E-newsletter.
2011 was a busy one for us!
Brady graduated from BYU! He was the top salesman in the company he was working at and earned a place in the prestigious "President's Club" where he and I got to spend a few days in Zion's National Park, going on beautiful hikes and adventures all while being spoiled by the company (Thanks to Grandma Debi for taking Liv for us)! He is serving in double church callings, volunteering with refugees of Texas in an after school program, volunteering in the ER at a local hospital, and charming everyone he meets as is his way. Everyone just loves Brady, and it makes me happy when people constantly tell me what a wonderful husband I have!
Taryn graduated with her second Bachelor's Degree from Dental Hygiene school, and we said goodbye to lots of friends and family and moved from Utah to Texas. It has been a bittersweet adjustment saying goodbye to loved ones that we miss so much, but now having the chance to get to know other loved ones and make new friends! We have been adjusting to the changes and trying to put down some roots. I am currently working 2 days a week and run wild with my 2 year old the other 5 days of the week. I am loving finally being able to do the job I've spent years trying to get certified to do. It has been a wonderful blessing to be able to provide for my family and allow Brady to finally get the chance to focus and work toward medical school without having to stress quite as much about finances. I also love being home with my Livy and as always cherish the days we spend together!
We had a little girl turn from a toddler into a full blown 2 year old kid! Olivia Pearl is one very animated and opinionated lady! She has had her Daddy wrapped around her little finger from day 1, and its safe to say the feeling is mutual! She LOVES when he comes home for the day. She will always say, "Dada! I miss you! I love you Daddy!" She brings so much joy, happiness, and laughter to our home! She still likes to give kisses, and knows her ABCs and all the sounds each letter makes. Her most recent accomplishment is going to the bathroom in the potty chair. We are ALL very excited about this (she is still in diapers but is definitely showing major interest in learning more about this potty chair thing).
and one more tiny thing....
We are expecting baby #2 to join our family in May 2012!
2011 was a great year with many accomplishments and celebrations, but we think 2012 will be even better! We are so happy that we have been blessed with this new little life.
