Date Night: Dallas Symphony

This was our real Valentine's celebration. Remember this post when I surprised B with these tickets?

We got all dressed up and ready for a night on the town!

My brother told us about his favorite Italian restaurant in Dallas called Taverna, so we decided we'd try it out.
We went all out on this date. We took my Mom's car which is a million times more fancy than ours, and used the valet service at the restaurant.
We ordered 2 appetizers and shared the meal and the dessert.
Oh my goodness ya'll! My taste buds were dancing that night! I do really enjoy food, and the ambience was also just perfect.
And I loved the doily's underneath the dishes (somehow I did not get a photo of the risotto which also had a doily under it).

Then we were off to The Meyerson to see and hear the Dallas Symphony.
We walked around for a bit and I loved seeing everyone dressed to the nines.
That's something I do like about living close to this city. People totally dressed up with diamonds and floor length gowns!
So fun!

We walked around the beautiful building and enjoyed the "before the show" entertainment:
kids from the Dallas Arts Academy.

The first half was just Vivaldi, hence only the strings being on stage.
After intermission they played a few other composers and the entire stage was filled.

It was beautiful and flawless and so much fun! B made me feel like I was the most beautiful girl in the world
(and beautiful is the last thing I feel right now since I'm rather large) and like he was so proud to be with me.
That's always my favorite, when I feel like he's proud of me.
