'Tis the season

Our girls are sick :( 

Last night was the first time in Liv's entire life that she crawled into our bed early in the morning, cuddled up next to me, and fell back to sleep. Most mornings she comes into our room and just wakes us up. This time though, she fell back to sleep. She coughed all night long and I could feel her little hand reach over to gently feel my face multiple times, just to make sure I was still there, then she'd fall asleep again. Even though it was early in the morning and I was tired and dreading having to go to work in a few hours, it just made me feel good to know that she needed me and that just me being there to cuddle with her made her feel better, at least good enough to sleep.

She woke up very lethargic and cuddly. Its days like these that I hate having to go to work.

I just want to cuddle both girls all day and watch Christmas cartoons.

I'm thankful for days like today so that tomorrow, when I AM home with two screaming, crying, sick girls, I'll have more patience and realize that it really is a blessing to be home with them :)
