We got the gear

One of mine and Brady’s favorite things to do is “window” shopping. I actually don’t know if that’s the right word cause its not like we’re actually looking in a window, but basically we go and look at all the things we wish we had and talk about what fun things we’ll do when we are rich enough to buy them. Well, since it was Memorial Day weekend there were some amazing sales going on, which brings me to mine and Brady’s other favorite thing to do: Buy expensive things at super cheap prices.

We went to Big 5 Sporting Goods where it seemed that everything in the store was on sale. We have been wanting to buy a tent for a while, so that we can go camping (if it ever actually gets warm enough, I’m a weenie). We were looking at some rinky dinky 2-3 man tents that were even more inexpensive since they were on sale. We didn’t really mind that they weren’t the nicest quality because come on, its not like we’re going to camp out on the side of a mountain where there’s 100 mph winds and -40 degree weather. We were about to buy an little tent, when Brady found a random 4 man tent that was a better brand and lot nicer than any of the ones we were looking at. We were just curious as to how much it was and were disappointed but not suprised when we found the red clearance tag was more than our price range. It looked like it had been on clearance for a while so we asked a worker how much it was (maybe it was on further clearance with the Memorial Day sale we hoped). She scanned it in and voila, it was around the same price as the ones we were looking at before! We couldn’t believe they had knocked that much more off the CLEARANCE price! To make a long story short, we got a great tent and the rest of the camping gear we needed (all at super prices) to make this summer a hit! Anyone want to go camping?

Utah is the perfect place to camp - no humidity and you can escape to the mountains if it is too hot! Have fun!
