I was beyond thrilled to go to the She & Him concert in SLC! Did I mention it was free?

I've always liked their style, but after hearing and seeing them live, I am in love. The voices of M Ward (a talented musician in his own right) and Zooey Deschanel (you may recognize her from such hits as "Elf" and "100 Days of Summer") go so smoothly together.

Naturally, we brought our big camera to snap some shots (just like we did last time at the Jamie Lidell concert); however, this time we ran into a dumb security guard that told us absolutely no cameras were allowed. Try as we might, we weren't changing her mind. We had to run back to the car (luckily we were parked really close) and leave it hidden under the seat. Of course when we got in the middle of the crowd, what did we see? A million fatty SLR cameras. You better believe I was ticked. Not too ticked to enjoy the show though. We had our little Kodak camera so we took more video clips than photos. Such a fun show!

Like I said, after seeing them I am hooked. My parents raised us on oldies, so their style plays perfectly on my love for oldies. With covers from Smoky Robinson and The Beatles how could you go wrong? They only play "Wouldn't it be Nice" from The Beach Boys, and "I put a spell on you" from Screamin' Jay Hawkins live, but both are amazing as well.
